FenestraPro Announce Appointment of New Chairman

FenestraPro are today pleased to announce the appointment of Anne O’Leary to the Board of Directors, in the role of Non-Executive Chairman.

Anne is a successful and experienced business executive and entrepreneur, and was the Managing Director of CADCO, an Irish company she founded in 1990 focused on Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Design Software. She successfully built CADCO via partnerships with Documentum and Autodesk, and achieved a dominant position in the AEC marketplace to become Autodesk’s sole distributor to Value Added Resellers in Ireland.

CADCO was successfully acquired in July 2009 by Computer2000, a subsidiary of the Techdata Group which is the largest IT distributor of hardware and software products worldwide, and became Datech, the sole distributor of Autodesk products in the UK and Ireland.

Anne currently also serves as Non-Executive Director of Replify Ltd, Chairman of Incident Control Room, and Executive Chairman of Kinematic Ltd. She is a member of the Advisory Board to the IGNITE programme at University College Cork, and is a Registered Accredited Mediator.

She holds both a Bachelor and Master of Engineering degree from University College Cork in Ireland.

“I am really excited to be working with the dynamic team at FenestraPro,” said O’Leary, speaking about the appointment. “They stand out as resourceful, driven, and have a great vision. I believe they also have the tenacity and energy to be very successful.”

FenestraPro was founded in 2012 by Dave Palmer and Simon Whelan, who originally met at Dublin School of Architecture at DIT. Both are practising Architectural Technologists with Masters Degrees in their field, and former lecturers. Palmer and Whelan ran a successful architectural practice together, before founding FenestraPro.

“We are thrilled to have Anne as part of the team, and look forward to working with her in the coming months,” said David Palmer, CEO of FenestraPro. “Anne brings with her a wealth of experience which will be invaluable for the challenging and exciting times ahead.”

The company is also part of the Autodesk Developer Network, and are working closely with Autodesk to develop a plugin for Building Information Modelling software, such as Revit, intended for release Spring/Summer 2014.
